Hi there!
I've been a little lax on blogging. Mostly it was because I got sick and then I got better and then life distracted me. But that's just how things are sometimes, right? Right.
I also have some news! Sort of. It isn't big news for the website itself, but... I decided to upload Fragmented to both AO3 and Wattpad.
I had a fun little adventure where I lurked around online and checked out some web novel sites. There are more out there than I thought there would be. Web novels don't seem to be as big of a thing with English speakers. Which is a real shame for me, since I was raised mostly on English.
So, I went back to my roots - fan fiction websites.
As a kid, those were my safe haven. My old fan fics are long since dead and deleted, my old profiles long gone, but I still have a soft spot for that kind of thing. I think writing fan fiction is a great way to develop writing. And it's fun and self-indulgent.
I'll be posting more content on my main site, though. For example, the AO3 and Wattpad versions of Fragmented don't have the Prologue. Currently, that's a Little Oni website exclusive.
And speaking of exclusives...
I plan on setting up character profiles and pronunciation guides on the site. I just need to get my notes together. I have a whole load of information on the characters set aside - parents names, surnames, birthdates, astrological signs... I might as well share that, right?
(I'm also pretty sure that there are people out there reading Rion as "Ryan" - not that I blame anyone. It happened to at least one of beta readers and we had a laugh as I explained that it's pronounced "Ree-on" and rhymes with Leon.)
Also...about Chapter 15 itself...
We have our first Peter perspective. And better get used to him because next week is going to be a big, multi-chapter update. It'll all be Peter.
We also see more of Sarina in Chapter 15. And we get to see her interact with Rion for the first time, which is...something.
But yeah! I hope you look forward to the next update. I'll leave you with a picture I took early in September of this year. I took a trip to my hometown to capture those Fragmented vibes. So, if you're wondering what the view from Misty Meadows is like, here you go!
